Woman assaulted over parking row in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: A 22-year-old woman on Monday filed a complaint at Sola High Court police station, after she was allegedly molested by her neighbour, over a parking dispute in the Chanakyapuri area.
The complainant, a final year BCom student, in her FIR stated that she, her brother and mother were at their house when their neighbour, Bhailu Thakor, rushed in and started abusing her brother.
“Bhailu Thakor started a fight while abusing my brother for parking his motorcycle in front of our house. Bhailu Thakor’s father, Dilip Thakor, and his cousin, Jigar, also rushed to my house and they started assaulting my brother. When my mother intervened, Dilip Thakor began assaulting her,” the complainant stated.
She further stated, “When I tried to rescue my mother, Dilip Thakor grabbed my breast, tried to tear my T-shirt, and assaulted me.”
The complainant alleged that her brother was severely beaten by her neighbours, who also threatened to kill all of them if they approached the police.
At the time of the incident, the complainant called the police and sought help. The accused fled before the police arrived.
Sola High Court police have filed a case for molestation, assault, using abusive language, criminal intimidation and abetment against four persons.
