BENGALURU: A doctor from east Bengaluru has complained to police that an unidentified miscreant is calling his daughter over phone and threatening to kidnap and kill her.

The girl is a first-year LLB student in a private college. According to the complaint lodged with Ramamurthynagar police, the miscreant is using two different mobile phones to threaten his daughter.

The doctor said, "The miscreant uses abusive language too. Recently, he told my daughter that he will not spare her even if she manages to get Prime Minister Narendra Modi on her side. It looks like an organised crime gang is conspiring against her."

Police said they suspect someone known to the family. "Either an old friend of the girl or her father's enemy must be the culprit. It looks like a case of revenge and the miscreant wants to mentally harass the doctor and his daughter," police said.
