BHOPAL: MP Human Rights Commission on Monday instructed DGP to constitute a team of doctors and senior police officers to collect information about ADG RK Mishra’s father health condition. The team will have to submit the report to commission during its next hearing scheduled on March 26. This is for the second time that the Commission has instructed the DGP, earlier the Commission had asked the same report from the DGP, but the ADG did not let the team to enter the house. Commission has now instructed the DGP to form a team of doctors and police officers who are senior to the ADG to look into the claims of the cop about his father’s health.
The Commission also asked the DGP to ensure that team enters the ADG’s house and bring the status report to the Commission on or before March 26. Controversy erupted over the health condition of Kulmani Mishra, father of ADG, after certain media reports claimed that he was ‘declared’ dead during treatment at a private hospital on January 13 but senior cop was keeping his father body at his residence claiming that he was very much alive and gaining health.
MPHRC had taken the cognizance of the media reports and served notice on ADG family on February 14 seeking information on his health condition. ADG’s mother Sashimani Mishra had approached High Court, Jabalpur bench and filed a petition. She had even filed a complaint with MPHRC against its chairman claiming that he was making ‘a direct attack on her religious beliefs, fundamental and human Rights’.
