Last week, OPPO sub-brand Realme announced its budget offering the Realme 3 (review) in India. The handset is now available for sale via the e-commerce platform Flipkart across the country. The Realme 3 ships with a dewdrop-notch display, mid-range MediaTek chipset, dual rear cameras, a beefy battery, and OPPO’s latest custom skin ColorOS skin. The Realme 3 sale today is scheduled for 12pm IST and will be held on Flipkart and Realme.com.

Realme 3 price in India

The Realme 3 price in India is set at Rs 8,999 for the 3GB + 32GB storage variant, while its top-end 4GB + 64GB storage option will set you back by Rs 10,999. To recall, the handset comes in three colour options: Diamond Black, Gradient Blue, and Black. Those who purchase the handset from Flipkart will get an instant discount of Rs 500 on payments made using HDFC Bank debit or credit cards; those who choose HDFC Bank EMI option will get Rs 500 off on the 4GB RAM variant. Jio customers will get benefits worth Rs 5,300 on the smartphone. Customers who purchase the handset via Realme.com will get MobiKwik Supercash worth up to Rs 2,000.

Realme 3 specifications

The Realme 3 boasts of a 6.2-inch display with HD+ resolution (720 x 1,440 pixels), 19:9 aspect ratio, and a screen-to-body aspect ratio of 88.3 percent. At its core lies a 12nm MediaTek Helio P70 chipset, clocked at 2.1GHz. The SoC is paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB onboard storage, expandable by up to 256GB via microSD card. Powering the device is an impressive 4,230mAh battery.

For photography, the Realme 3 sports a 12-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor and LED flash on the rear. The front camera gets a 13-megapixel shooter with AI for selfies, video calling, and face unlock. The camera features include PDAF, Nightscape, Hybrid HDR, chroma boost, AI beautification, and portrait mode. The handset can record HD and full-HD videos at 30fps and 720p slow-mo video at 90fps.

On the software side of things, the Realme 3 comes pre-loaded with Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0 skin out of the box. The phone also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and connectivity options such as 4G LTE, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ GLONASS.
