With the reintroduction of mandatory CBSE board exams since last year, students have to prepare the full course curriculum. Almost all the questions asked in the science paper are based on topics and concepts given in Std X science NCERT book.
The NCERT book, therefore, should be followed from the beginning of the session. Each topic should be thoroughly studied to get a strong hold of the concepts and basics.
The question format under PBQ section has undergone a few alterations in the new system, wherein all the questions are descriptive-type. All 27 questions are compulsory. However, there are internal choices. The difficulty level of the paper has never risen to an unexpected level. However, a lot of practise and revision should be put in to get a good score.
Physics being considered as difficult by many should be done thoroughly. All the chapters of physics should be well read. Ray diagrams, numerical and theory questions should be practised thoroughly. Solving question papers will help excelling in the topic as it will give exposure to a variety of questions that can be asked.
Chemistry is the scoring part of the paper. So, the students should attempt to gain maximum marks. Chemical formulae and equations should be well studied. Activities given in the textbook should be studied well as there are some indirect questions based on them.
Students should answer as per the question asked and should cover keywords expected in the answer. Answers should be according to the marks allotted. This will help them manage time well.
Getting a good score in the exam is not an unachievable task. With a focussed approach, regular practise, healthy lifestyle and calm nerves, students can perform well in the exams.
