AIM for Seva organises fundraiser in support of 129 projects

AIM for Seva, a non-governmental organisation, conducted its first edition of Ananda, a three-day fundraiser event at The Music Academy recently.

The event featured music, theatre and dance performances. The proceeds of the programme would be used to support 129 projects across the country.

On Thursday, N. Ravi, Publisher, The Hindu, released the organisation’s souvenir, ‘Kuru Sevam Tvam’. The first copy was received by P.S. Govindachary, chairman and managing director - Rajasriya group.

On March 7, Carnatic vocalist Bombay Jayashri Ramnath performed a concert that was a tribute to her ‘gurus’. The second day of the fundraiser had Gowri Ramnarayan’s play, ‘Kurukshetra-When Things Fall Apart’, which explored complex family relationships.

The final day had ‘A Million Sitas’, danseuse Anita Ratnam’s performance.

The NGO enables rural children to complete their education through several initiatives. Sheela Balaji, Chairperson and Managing Trustee, participated in the event.
