Lucknow, Reiterating her earlier stand vis-a-vis no tie-up with the Congress party, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati on Tuesday clarified that BSP will not forge any alliance with the Congress party to fight elections in any state.

Lauding the SP-BSP alliance, she said it was working in good faith and was being perceived as a better alliance in all three states.

Addressing the party workers, she said apart from achieving social transformation, the alliance with the SP was also capable of defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the elections in the country’s interests.

Ms Mayawati further said all the people associated with the party needed to work at the grassroots level and make every BSP worker-oriented to steer the the wheel of caravan of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar ideologies and policies towards its destination. She further directed everyone not to take any step for short-term gains which is not in the interest of the party.
