In a twist no one saw coming, Cassandra Thorburn has landed a role on breakfast TV - just months after her ex Karl Stefanovic was booted off the Today show on Channel Nine.
Cassandra announced that she is to be a regular guest on Network Ten's Studio 10 morning talk show on Tuesday.
'I'll be working with Studio 10 on a more regular guest basis so that will be great,' the mother-of-three told Yahoo Lifestyle.

'It's great and opens the opinions of more experienced women, I guess, that are around my ilk,' the journalist added.
Studio 10, presented by Sarah Harris, 37, airs at 8.30am each week day and overlaps with Today and Today Extra on the rival Nine Network.
The announcement is another big boost for Cassandra's public profile, after she was eliminated from Ten's Dancing With The Stars on Monday night.

Gold logie winner Karl, 44, was unceremoniously kicked off Today late last year after 14 years with the program.
The breakfast show had been on an unending downward spiral in the ratings for several years.
Karl married his girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough, 34, in a lavish Mexican wedding in December last year.

And network bosses gave Karl his marching orders while he was honeymooning in Apen, Colorado, with Jasmine.
However, despite Karl's departure from Today, and a new presenting line up, the show has failed to claw back ratings and continues to be soundly beaten in audience numbers by rival Sunrise on Seven.
Karl and Cassandra were married for 21 years and share three children together - Jackson, 19, Ava, 13, and River, 12.
