Sreedhar heads operations for a Japanese firm

All political parties are busy selecting candidates for the elections to be held on April 11.

The Jana Sena Party (JSP) along with candidates is also stocking its think tank. It has appointed former Governors, retired IAS officers and IT experts till now to its ‘Think Tank Panel’, but the latest addition seems a little different and younger than the rest.

Sreedhar is a Telugu now based in Dubai. He heads the operations for a multinational Japanese company for all countries in Africa and West Asia. He is the first non-Japanese to hold the post.

“I was given an appointment letter by Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan on Saturday. I will be reporting only to him and will be assisting him in whichever way he feels fit,” Mr. Sreedhar said.

“I am the author of ‘Moment of Signal’, a self-help book on the lines of ‘The Secret’. The kindle edition has been given a five-star rating by Amazon. This has got me an invitation from the C-Suite Network “Best Sellers” conference in New York,” he said.

The most interesting part about Mr. Sreedhar’s career is his first job as a waiter in a small tea shop in Visakhapatnam. He educated himself while working and got a job as a sales manager in The Hindu, Vijayawada. He then got a job in a multinational firm that sells consumer durables in Dubai and from there his career witnessed a meteoric rise.

Mr. Sreedhar and Mr. Pawan sat next to each other in an aeroplane and became friends. “My humble beginnings in a tea shop and the journey to the top is what attracted the JSP leader to me I think,” Mr Sreedhar told The Hindu.
