Ryna Sequeira, Country Manager-India, Tourism & Events Queensland, said, “This year, we want to record a double digit growth from the Indian market.”
At the roadshow, products like Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Destination Gold Coast, Accor Hotels and Ramada Resort Kooralbyn Valley participated for the first time.

Talking about 2019 priorities, she said that they will ensure that Indian tourists’ expenditure in Queensland witnesses a growth. “In terms of destination, we want to promote Brisbane as a leisure destination and various experiences in Gold Coast, Cairns & the Whitsundays” Sequeira said.
Tourism and Events Queensland is targeting Tier-II cities in India to impart destination and product knowledge. “Besides Delhi and Mumbai, we are also targeting smaller cities like Lucknow, Chandigarh, Indore, Ludhiana, Pune, Jaipur, Kochi, Coimbatore, etc.,” Sequeira said.
