Man arrested for sending obscene messages to woman

Picture used for representational purpose onlyCHENNAI: Police have arrested a 23-year-old man who reportedly sent obscene SMS to a woman after she offered to sell her child's walking trolley on an online sales portal. Police said, the 30-year-old woman had recently shared a post on an online sales portal stating that her child's cycle was on second hand sale. She had mentioned her phone number along with the post. Within two days she began receiving calls in which the caller spoke to her in a vulgar manner. After she stopped attending the phone calls, he began sending text messages.
She lodged a complaint with the Puzhal police station and the police traced the number from which the messages were being sent. They arrested Naresh, 23, from Kolathur Poompuhar Nagar.
