Two amateur removalists have been captured on camera transporting a couch along a busy road - using nothing but two bikes and a makeshift trailer.

A shocked motorist filmed the pair as he drove behind them in Macquarie Fields in south-west Sydney.

One man was seen peddling while the two-seater couch sat on top of a makeshift trailer attached to his bike.

The other man rode beside him on the 60km/h road, holding on to the piece of furniture in hope it didn't fall off.

The pair reached a busy roundabout and managed to cross the busy interaction - despite one of the men nearly losing his balance.

The video was was shared on Facebook and quickly went viral.

One person commented: 'As a single woman who just found a great garage sale but no truck, I get it!'

Another said: 'Because not everyone can afford a truck. Do what you gotta do lol.'

'Where there's a will there's a way... they knew when to make the run and traffic was low and slow,' another posted.
