Boys, 10 and 13, charged over Maddington car yard vandalism

Two boys will appear in Perth Children's Court on Monday accused of breaking into a car yard and damaging more than 25 cars by jumping on them and throwing bricks.

A police spokeswoman said the boys, aged 10 and 13, entered a Maddington car yard on Albany Highway around 12.30am Sunday morning.

"They allegedly jumped on a number of vehicles, before also throwing paving bricks at the cars," she said.

"A total of 26 vehicles received damage, to the value of around $30,000.

"The boys allegedly again entered the same property around 10.15pm on Sunday 10 March 2019, and similarly damaged a further 10 vehicles resulting in around $10,000 damage."

The children have each been charged with two counts of criminal damage.
