PUNE: City-based Ruby Hall Clinic celebrated International Women’s Day with a gala of events attended by women from all departments of the hospital. This included inspiring speeches by women leaders of the hospital, dance and song performances and mimes.

The event was organised by Dr Nita Munshi, Director, Laboratory and Quality, Ruby Hall Clinic, Shubhada Cruz, Head of Administration, Kamalnayan Bajaj Cancer Centre and Surekha Joshi, Head, Department of Social Work, Ruby Hall Clinic.

The theme this year was ‘Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change’.

Talking about this initiative, Dr Nita Munshi said that as women, we are in the midst of a movement. “Women are marching, campaigning, making a change and moving forward. More than just being the backbone of the family, they’re taking strides and now becoming the backbone of so many organisations,” said Dr Munshi.

Bomi Bhote, CEO, Ruby Hall Clinic said the story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organisation but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.
