Deadly Boeing Crash in Ethiopia Causes China, Indonesia to Ground 737 Max 8 Planes

In the wake of the Ethiopian Airlines crash that killed all 157 people onboard, China and Indonesia are temporarily grounding their Boeing models of that plane.????The crash in Ethiopia shortly after takeoff is the second fatal crash for the latest version of Boeing’s 737 plane, called the 737 Max 8.????In late October a Lion Air flight, using the same model plane crashed in Indonesia also shortly after takeoff, killing 189 people.????The move by China’s aviation regulator to temporarily ground their 737 Max 8 models could affect the country’s air travel,... ????...as the New York Times reports that China’s major airlines are one of the biggest users of Boeing’s newest jet.????Cayman Airways also it was grounding both of its "new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft ... until more information is received," according to CNN.????But Many airlines including providers in Asia, the Middle East and Africa indicated they would continue using the Max 8 planes in their fleet.????Additionally, India’s SpiceJet said they would not be canceling their order of over 100 new jets to add to the 13 they currently operate.????The second crash within a six month period of the Max 8 plane had a global reach, as the Times reported that at least 22 of the 157 killed in the Ethiopia crashed worked for agencies affiliated with the United Nations and were set to attend an environment conference in Nairobi.
