The second crash of a Boeing 737-8 Max plane in just over 4 months has raised concerns about the safety of the plane for airlines and air safety regulators around the world. While it is too early to say that the Lion Air crash of October 2018 and the Ethiopian Airlines crash of March 10 are linked, passengers, airlines and air safety regulators can't help but take notice. After the crash, the Ethiopian Airlines has grounded all its Boeing 737 MAX-8 planes. China also grounded its fleet of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 in the aftermath. US-based Cayman Airways also said it was grounding its two new 737 Max jets. In India, two airlines SpiceJet and Jet Airways have the Boeing 737 Max in their fleet. Both the airlines as well as the DGCA are in touch with Boeing for updates about the planes.
