Ahmedabad: Security official of mall arrested

Representative imageAHMEDABAD: Special Operation Group (SOG) on Sunday arrested one Pankaj Rajput for running a security agency without a licence. SOG sources said that with red alert across the country specially in coastal states like Gujarat after the Pulwama terror attack, they were directed to check the security arrangements in malls and other public places.
"As a part of the drive, one of our teams went to Central Mall located at Ambawadi in Navrangpura. We found that the security arrangements were handled by KIS security agency. We asked its field officer Pankaj Rajput about the licence. He did not have the license. We have arrested him for further legal action," said assistant commissioner of police, B C Solanki.
