Ambala: Man ends life over wife’s illicit affair

Maheshnagar police registered a complaint after Ravinder Kaur, a resident of Malerkotla district, alleged that her brother Kulbir was tensed due to the illicit relations of his wife and committed suicide.
“I live in Malerkotla with my family and Kulbir Singh was my brother who was living in Ambala. Kulbir got married to Gurwinder Kaur, a resident of Jagadhri, Yamunanagar, in June 2002. My brother had two children from his marriage. My brother and his wife were living a happy life, but for the past nearly four years, my sister-in-law had developed illicit relationship with Naveen. We talked to them on numerous occasions, but they continued with their affair. My brother had also seen them in compromising condition after which he tensed. On March 9, my brother committed suicide due to the harassment by his wife.”
As per the police, the deceased, Kulbir, was found hanging with a fan at his residence on Sunday morning.
Maheshnagar SHO sub-inspector Ajaib Singh said: “Kulbir was living separately from the past some time and his wife is also living separately with her two children.”
