The board of TVS Motor Company Ltd. declared a second interim dividend of ₹1.40 per share (140%) on 47.51 crore equity shares of ₹1 each fully paid, for the financial year ending March 31, 2019. , absorbing a sum of ₹79.70 crore, including dividend distribution tax. The dividend would be paid by March 22. The board of another TVS Group firm, Sundaram-Clayton Ltd. (SCL), also declared a second interim dividend of ₹16 per share (320%) on a face value of ₹5 per equity share. It will be paid by March 22, 2019. Sudarshan Venu, meanwhile, relinquished his position as JMD of SCL as he would not be able to give sufficient time to manage the day-to-day affairs of the company. He would, however, continue to serve as a non-executive and non-independent director.
