Four businessmen were arrested by the Santacruz police for allegedly verbally harassing and molesting a 26-year-old woman at Juhu restobar.
According to Mumbai Mirror, the four accused also attacked the woman’s when he objected to the accused behaviour. The incident took place on Saturday around 11.30 pm at a restobar in Juhu, when one of the four accused was staring the woman and later passed a lewd comment. After which the woman reacted, during which one of his friends touched her inappropriately, she confronted the man but he pushed her.
The woman’s husband tried to intervene, but the four men assaulted him. After the police were informed about the incident, they detained two of four men. The two men were identified as Akshay Raj (22) and Rahul Rijha (31) they both were later brought to Santacruz police station. Later when they were to the police station, the cops learned that there were two other friends involved in the incident too, those to were identified as Arunsingh Gohil (33) and Viraj Singh (32) both from Gujarat, but later after some time, they both reached the police station.
The cops have registered an FIR under sections 354, 323, 509 and 34 of the IPC. The accused were produced in court on Sunday, where they were sent to judicial custody till May 22.
