Convicted triple murderer Chris Watts says every time he closes his eyes he hears his four-year-old daughter’s final words begging him not to kill her. 

“Daddy no!” were Bella’s last words to her father before he suffocated her and disposed of her body in an oil tank, Sunshine Coast Daily reports.

“I hear it every day, when Bella was talking to me, when she said, ‘Daddy, no!'”

In November last year, Watts (33), from Colorado in the US, pleaded guilty to the murders of his pregnant wife Shanann (34) and their children, Bella (4) and Celeste (3).

He made his chilling confession in an interview with law enforcement officials that lasted almost five hours. He also opened up about his state of mind in the weeks and months leading up to his confession and subsequent conviction.

According to CNN, the interview was recorded in February but the tapes were only made public last week Thursday.

Watts is serving five life sentences at the Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin, after being transferred from a Colorado prison for security reasons. 

During his confession Watts told police that it took him 45 minutes to drive to a remote oil field with Shanann’s body in the back of the truck while his daughters, who were still alive at the time, sat clinging onto each other in the backseat, People reports.

"During the ride,the girls were dozing on and off, held each other, and laid in each other’s laps," reads the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) report which details Watts’ confession.

Watts told detectives he wasn’t thinking clearly during the drive.

"If I was thinking, this wouldn’t have happened, or any partial hint of what I feel for those girls and what I feel for my wife, then none of this would have happened. So I wasn’t thinking."

Before burying his wife’s body in a shallow grave, Watts suffocated his youngest daughter Celeste in the backseat. After dumping her tiny body, he returned to suffocate Bella who asked in a low voice: "Is the same thing gonna happen to me as Cece?'" before uttering her last words, "Daddy no!"

Watts said he mourns his wife and children every day and even has pictures of them in his prison cell. He reads a children’s book to the photos of his children daily along with some Bible verses every night.
