2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid Hits UK Showrooms On April 1st

After retiring the Avensis, Toyota is now ready to launch its replacement, the Camry, in the UK on April 1, with deliveries commencing on July 1.

Pricing kicks off from just £5 ($7/€6) under £30,000 ($39,025/€34,720) for the Design model, which gets standard LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, parking sensors at both ends and reversing camera. A leather upholstery, automatic air-con, keyless entry & go, 7-inch infotainment system, heated and power adjustable front seats and others are also standard.

From £31,295 ($40,710/€36,220), customers will be able to order the Camry Excel. This trim level adds LED fog lamps, LED dual-beam projector headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels and a wireless charging pad for smartphones. It also comes with a range of driving assist systems such as Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Clearance Sonar and Lane Change Assist.

At launch, the mid-size sedan will be available with a choice of five exterior colors, including the new Graphite Shadow and Platinum White Pearl.

The 2020 Camry will only be available as a Hybrid. This means that it’s powered by a 215 HP hybrid powertrain comprising a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and an electric motor, which returns between 50.5 and 53.3 mpg UK (5.6-5.3 l/100 km / 42.1-44.4 mpg US) on a combined cycle. Carbon dioxide emissions are rated at 98-101 g/km, according to the grade.
