Gold Rate Today: Gold\, silver fall on lower spot demand

NEW DELHI: Gold prices fell in the domestic futures trade on Monday on lower demand by jewellers at the spot market, whereas a rally in equities took also dented the safe-haven asset.

The trend in the overseas markets was also uninspiring. Gold slipped in the wake of the dollar's rise against its major global peers.

The MCX Gold was trading at Rs 32,121 per 10 grams, down by Rs 46 around 11:15 am.

Silver also witnessed a fall due to a slump in demand by industrial units and coin makers.

The MCX Silver was trading Rs 54 lower at Rs 38,674 a kilo around the same time.
