'Even the neighbours didn't know and they have kids': Parents of molested girl claim her abuser has been 'silently' released and is living at his old house just down the road from two schools
- Family of a molested girl say her abuser has been released back into community
- Gavin Lansdown pleaded guilty to indecent treatment of a child under 12
- Sentenced last December to 15 months jail, suspended after three months
- Victim's family claim the neighbourhood wasn't informed he's been released
The horrified parents of a young sexual abuse victim claim her abuser has been 'silently' released back into the community after serving just three months in jail.
Convicted paedophile Gavin Sydney Patrick Lansdown, 51, was due to be released from jail on Monday after he pleaded guilty to three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 12 at a Logan home south of Brisbane in 2016 and 2017.
He was sentenced to 15 months jail, suspended after three months, in Beenleigh District Court in December, The Courier Mail reported.

The victim's parents believed Lansdown has been allowed returned to his home, located within a kilometre of at least two schools and two child care centres.
They were sickened by claims the neighbourhood had not been informed.
'Even the neighbours didn't know and they have kids,' the girl's mother told the publication.
'It's not to target him as such, it's so that kids know that these people are out there.'
The Queensland Department of Corrective Services directed Daily Mail Australia's inquiries to Queensland Police.
'The department has no further role regarding the supervision arrangements of this individual in the community,' a spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia.
She was unable to say when he was released from prison due to safety reasons.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Queensland Police for further comment.
The victim's family relocated and changed schools following the girl's terrifying ordeal.
Now aged 10, the girl cried herself to sleep, suffered nightmares and was too scared to go to friends' places following the abuse.
She still sees a psychiatrist.
'My daughter still has to suffer for the rest of her life, we've got to live with it for the rest of our lives. There is no justice in what he got,' the mother said.
