Group from Thailand caught with fake visas
tnn | Mar 11, 2019, 04:01 ISTVaranasi: A group of air passengers from Thailand travelling with fake visas was detained at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International airport on Sunday. They are being questioned by the intelligence bureau (IB) personnel.
According to reports, a group of 30 passengers arrived here from Bangkok by Indigo flight. During checking at immigration counter, the visa of 29 passengers were found to be fake.
The passengers were detained and higher authorities were informed.
Airport director Anil Kumar Rai, who was in Kolkata for a meeting, told TOI over phone that the passengers have been detained and the matter is being investigated by the IB officials.
