45-year-old man held for raping minor girl
TNN | Mar 11, 2019, 04:00 ISTRajkot: A 45-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl in Sama Kantha locality of Morbi on Saturday. The accused was identified as Ramesh Koli, who lived in the neighbourhood of the survivor.
According to police, the girl went to Koli’s house while playing. Koli enticed her with chocolates into coming to his room and raped her. When the girl returned home, her private part was bleeding. This raised the suspicion of her mother who informed her husband and took the girl to Morbi Civil Hospital where the doctors confirmed that she was raped.
“The girl told us that she had gone to Koli’s house and how the crime was committed. Following this, we swung into action and nabbed Koli who had absconded after committing the crime,” said A B Jadeja, sub-inspector with Morbi B division police station.
