ROHTAK: BJP will register victory on all the 10 Lok Sabha seats of Harayna in upcoming polls, claimed chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday.
The CM said that the party had chalked out its stratrgy to mobilise the people in its favour. He was talking to mediapersons after attending a state-level party meeting to discuss the preparation at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) auditorium in Rohtak. The MDU campus was covered with saffron flags for the party meeting.
Asserting that no turncoat will be fielded as Lok Sabha candidate, Khattar said that party workers would be given preference no matter whether they had joined recently or been in party for decades. The final decision with be taken by the party’s parliamentary panel.
Asked about his recent meeting with INLD state president Ashok Arora, he downplayed the talks of an alliance by saying that it was courtesy meeting and should not be read more than that.
Haryana BJP in charge Anil Jain said that the party had prepared a blueprint for victory on all seats in the state. Jain said that they have no dearth of winning candidates for Rohtak parliamentary seat against three times Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda. BJP had won seven seats in the state rest, while two had gone to INLD and one to the Congress.
BJP leaders also took pot shots on the rival political parties for raising Pulwama terror attack and IAF strikes in Pakistan. “The public is satisfied with the BJP’s Union and state government report cards of last five years and opposition parties are trying to divert attention by raising steps taken in country’s interest after Pulwama terror attack,” Jain added.
