BoAt has launched its latest pair over-ear wireless headphones, dubbed the BoAt Rockerz 480. The Bluetooth 5.0-based headphones offer optional wired connectivity with a bundled 3.5mm audio adapter, and while it risks being among the also-rans of the segment, BoAt aims to make the Rockerz 480 stand out with its claimed battery life of 10 hours.

The plastic chassis of the headphones is combined with the brushed, matte aluminium look, finished in black. The exterior of the earcups are equipped with controls to toggle and tune your audio, and include options to rewind, fast-forward, skip and go back in tracks, adjust volume, and since the Rockerz 480 also comes with a microphone, the controls also include quick shortcuts to receive or reject phone calls.

In terms of specifications, the BoAt Rockerz 480 are paired with 40mm drivers, combined with overall resistance ciircuit of 32Ω. This is further combined with a 10mW speaker for effective audio output, which produces a sound pressure level of 112dB, and signal to noise ratio of 70dB. The overall frequent response is rated at 20Hz to 20,000Hz, which is pretty much what you would expect from an average pair of headphones.

The entire package is powered by a 300mAh battery pack, which can take up to 2.5 hours to charge fully. The overall playback time is rated at up to 10 hours, while talktime is rated eight hours. The BoAt Rockerz 480 uses the latest Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity modem, which should allow for streaming of higher-res audio. Connectivity range is rated at 33ft, which too is in line with the industry average.

The BoAt Rockerz 480 is a tad heavy at 187g, and the presence of soft foam earpads mean long listening may be difficult. The accessory is priced at Rs 1,899, and is now available across multiple online and offline stores.
