Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta tie the knot tonight and the wedding of the season is seeing cricketers, Bollywood celebrities, politicians, industry veterans and many more present at the wedding festivities. The one thing that was common as the functions began were the pastel shades giving a feeling of Spring at the glitzy affair.

It started with the Ambanis colour-coded in shades of pink. We loved the detailing on Nita Ambani’s lehenga-corset as we did Isha’s attire. Bollywood celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter, Aaradhya were seen in contrasting pastel shades - lilac and baby pink respectively. Ash also showed off the red colour in her hair that perfectly complemented the subtle shade of her attire. Kareena Kapoor Khan chose a powder blue lehenga corset, that she matched with a heavy choker and a white potli bag. Speaking of potli bags, they seem to be back in fashion as the ladies have been seen carrying them at the function today.

We loved Alia Bhatt and Janhvi’s look at the wedding. Alia looked beautiful and as fresh as a daisy in a lemon yellow lehenga corset. It is interesting to note that her industry ‘dad’ Karan Johar too came dressed in sunflower yellow at the wedding. Her beau, actor Ranbir Kapoor chose a more subtle shade for the festivities.

Janhvi wore a fuschia pink lehenga corset. Priyanka Chopra Jonas entered with her family members in a lace slate grey saree and we were instantly reminded of her ‘desi girl’ look from the movie, Dostana. Take a look at the pictures below and tweet to us your thoughts!
