2 held with fake currency in Kolkata

KOLKATA: The Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police has arrested two persons from the city and seized fake Indian currency notes with a face value of Rupees eight lakh from their possession.
On receiving specific inputs, the anti-FICN team of the STF on Saturday intercepted the two men from Chandni Chowk area of the city and recovered the fake currency notes from their possession, a senior police official said.
The counterfeit notes were in the denomination of Rs 2000.
The two persons, identified as Dipak Mandal and Joy Mandal, have been booked under different sections of the IPC, he said. PTI PNT MM
