Bihar: Man gets life term for killing wife

KHAGARIA: Fast track court judge Narayan Prasad Singh on Thursday awarded life term to one Santosh Yadav of Bhikhari Ghat village under the Alouli police station area in Khagaria district for killing his wife Rinku Devi on April 18, 2014 night for not fulfilling the dowry demand. Ramchandra Yadav, father of the deceased, had lodged an FIR in this connection against Santosh.
Murder accused held: Police on Thursday nabbed Chano Singh of Emadpur village under the Gogri police station area. He had been evading arrest for the last six years in connection with his wife’s murder. Sources said police got a tip-off that he had come to his village and arrested him. He had killed his wife Chameli Devi on March 18, 2013, SHO Raghwendra Singh said.
