Liquor cache worth Rs 19L seized; two held

Rajkot: A total of 4,680 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), worth Rs 18.72 lakh, were seized from a truck and two bootleggers arrested from Bhujpur crossroads of Mundra taluka in Kutch district on Saturday.
The accused were identified as Mukesh Bishnoi (26), a resident of Hemagunda village of Sanchore taluka of Jhalore district of Rajasthan, and Navalsinh Jadeja (34), a resident of Bidada village of Mandvi taluka in Kutch district.
“During their interrogation, the accused duo said that the IMFL cache had been sent by Dipak Luhar from Sanchor and that it was meant to be delivered to a bootlegger, identified as Sahdevsinh Jadeja, a resident of Bidada village of Mandvi taluka in Kutch district. Following this revelation, we have booked the duo and launched a manhunt for them,” said M N Chauhan, inspector with Mundra smart police station.
