Indore: A 35-year-old trader and his servant were severely injured after four people attacked them on refusing to give money for liquor in Malharganj area on Thursday evening.
According to police, victim Papu Yadav, a resident of Kandlipura said Lavish Yadav, Bhola, Maniya and Pradeep Yadav demanded money for purchasing liquor. On refusing, the accused abused the victim. As the fight escalated, the accused thrashed the victim with an iron rod.
Papu’s servant Suresh Lodhi tried to intervene following which Lavish attacked him with an axe causing severe injury on his head. The accused then threatened the victim with dire consequences and fled. The injured victim and Suresh were rushed to hospital for treatment. The police have booked the accused and are investigating the incident.
In another incident, 35-year-old Nafeesuddin, a resident of Bhishti Mohalla, said accused Asif, Nazim, Arslaan and Afsaar called him at their residence in Malhraganj area and thrashed him on Thursday. The victim said accused hurled abuses following an altercation and later attacked him causing severe injuries to his head. The local residents intervened following which the victim escaped and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
