Arsenal FC (AFC) and Leicester City FC (LCFC) youth players gave kabaddi a go during the Premier League Youth Development Week in Mumbai.

Chennai:
While Reddy imparted a certain deal of knowledge to the Leicester City academy members, Rishank gave his inputs to the London-based team. “It’s a good sport, it’s exciting. I like how it’s really cultural and it’s been in India for a long time,” said Arsenal’s Baio in a video posted by the Premier League.
“The people that have played kabaddi showed us their skills and we taught a bit of football to them. We came here to learn something new,” added the youngster. Every point secured during the exhibition match was celebrated wildly and the kids were all smiles throughout the course of the encounter.
“It’s a very fun sport to play to be honest. It’s physically demanding and you have to be very tactical about your thinking as well. You need to know when to go forward and when to drop behind. When attacking, you must find out who to go for and stuff like that,” said Leicester City’s Shane.
A match-up between the staff of AFC and LCFC was conducted after the conclusion of the kids’ game. “It was a bit tasty, but it was played in good spirits. Everyone is going to go back home understanding the game and the culture a bit more,” stated Arsenal youth team coach Sam Moore.
Forty youngsters from AFC and LCFC combined travelled to India to be a part of the Premier League-Indian Super League Youth Games 2019, which also featured Mumbai City FC and Reliance Young Champs. After completing their assignments in the four-team competition, the two English sides stepped on the mat to have a crack at kabaddi. India raider Rishank Devadiga and former national team coach Srinivas Reddy were in attendance and the duo made aware the rules to the first-timers.
