What Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding decor looked like
From a mammoth Krishna idol to a peacock installation that fans out in a beautiful display, the decor at Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding was grand to say the least
The Ambanis are known for their attention to detail when it comes to organising events, and the wedding of their eldest son is obviously not going to be an exception. For Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding, the Jio World Centre at BKC, Mumbai was transformed into a visual spectacle replete with fresh imported flowers and larger-than-life installations.

From the entry gates to the interiors, the entire venue is covered from pillar to post in vibrant flowers. The entrance saw several cascading installations crafted entirely out of foliage surrounding them, and featured a photo-op wall adjacent to it that was elevated with Japanese cherry blossoms and carnations.
Inside, shamiyana-style garlands graced the ceilings of the corridors as guests were greeted with a floral rangoli. Standing in the middle of the design was a large peacock, which fanned out its large plumage in an impressive display. Other floral installations in the shape of horses were also seen here.
The interiors were clearly designed to create a surreal feeling. Pink, purple, coral and white flowers were scattered through the venue, with transparent domes outlined with flowers hanging from the roof.
A huge fountain took centre stage, with more waterfalls on the periphery adding a soothing atmosphere to the wedding decor.
Another focal point was a mammoth statue of Lord Krishna posing with a bansuri, crafted entirely with foliage. A colossal conch shell made up of pink flowers sat behind the idol in bright contrast.
Everyone from Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan to Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have already been spotted at the venue, and many more notable names from the entertainment industry are expected, along with business magnates and global leaders.
