Not leaving Congress for BJP, says Alpesh Thakor

Congress MLA Alpesh Thakor (File photo)AHMEDABAD: Congress MLA Alpesh Thakor on Saturday put all speculation over his joining BJP to rest, stating he will continue to fight for the rights of his Thakor community by staying on in Congress. He also indicated that he will not contest the upcoming LS election. “I will stay with Congress and will continue to support this party. I want respect and rights for my people,” Thakor said .
Thakor, did not deny that he had initiated talks with BJP. “At one point of time, I did aspire to become a minister but have now decided to take the path of struggle,” he said.
