Rajasthan high court relief for workers on contract

JAIPUR: Rajasthan high court has given an interim stay on the termination of contractual workers at government hospitals under various schemes, including Mahatma Gandhi Free Medicine Scheme, Free Testing Scheme and Bhamashah Yojna. The contractual workers included health instructor, lab technician, computer operator and helpers.


Bench comprising Justice Inderjeet Singh has also sought a reply from the state government in this regard including secretary, medical and health, secretary, department of finance, director, medical and health services, additional director, medical and health, Rajasthan medical services corporation limited and Rajasthan medical relief society.


The respondents have sought 2 weeks’ time to reply to which court granted and asked them not to terminate the services of the petitioners till the next date while listing the matter on April 8.
