Pawar is new NMRDA addl commissioner

Nagpur: The state government has appointed Hemant Kumar Pawar as additional commissioner at Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA). Kumar assumed the charge from outgoing additional commissioner Sudhakar Kulmethe on March 1.
Pawar was working as registrar at the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) before joining NMRDA. He handed over charge to Chandrabhan Parate on Friday.

Pawar worked as municipal commissioner at Amravati Municipal Corporation and additional municipal commissioner at Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). He had taken efforts for completion and inauguration of new administrative building of the NMC.


The government has appointed executive engineer in Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) Shweta Banerjee in the NMC. She was working with MJP office in Amravati.


Banerjee is likely to take charge of executive director of Nagpur Environmental Services Limited (NESL) and look after 24x7 Water Supply Project. She became the officer from MJP to join the NMC.


Municipal commissioner Abhijit Bangar has recommended Banerjee’s appointment in the NMC. Bangar had appreciated Banerjee’s working when he was collector in Amravati.
