Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta Wedding Latest Updates
Akash Ambani and his fiancée Shloka Mehta are all set to tie the knot today in a dreamy wedding in Mumbai. The couple got engaged last year in a starry affair which was attended by who's who of Bollywood. After a series of wedding festivities hosted by Akash and Shloka, today is the D-day. The big fat Indian wedding will have guests from around the world. The guest list includes UN Secretary-General Ban-Ki-Moon and his wife, former British PM Tony Blair and his wife and also, Google CEO Sundar Pichari and his wife.
Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding will also have many politicians including Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, railway minister Piyush Goyal, commerce minister Suresh Prabhu and former commerce minister Anand Sharma in attendance.
The wedding will take place at Jio World Centre in Bandra, Mumbai tonight. The Ambani residence Antilia has already been decked up to welcome the guests. The eldest son of Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Ltd and daughter of diamond merchant Russell Mehta kickstarted the wedding festivities with dandiya night followed by three-days bash in Switzerland which was attended by Bollywood stars. On March 3, Akash and Shloka hosted a Harry Potter-themed bash for their guests. From the platform 9 3/4 to the exact replica of the dinner table at Hogwarts, the pre-wedding bash was a complete fun affair. Also, popular singer Guru Randhawa performed live for the audience and made them groove to some of his chartbusters.
Later, the Ambanis and Mehtas came together for Anna Seva where they served 2000 underprivileged children. There was also a 'mehendi and mala' ceremony in which bride-to-be Shloka performed on Din Shagna Da along with her mom Mona Mehta. For unversed, the couple got engaged in June last year after Akash proposed Shloka in March 2018 in Goa.
