Jalandhar, March 8, 2019: One day seminar was organised by Department of Hindi of DAV College ,Jalandhar on "Creativity in Cultural Journalism ". Popular Feature Editor Dr.Ajay Sharma was present as Chief Guest at the programme organised by College's "Premchand Hindi Literature Council" . While Welcoming the Chief Guest and Key Speakers , Principal Dr.S.K.Arora said that Hindi Department Of DAV College is popular in the entire country. This department has given many creative people such as Upendranath Ashk, Mohan Rakesh, Ravinder Kalia etc. Its the necessity of the time to provide the direction to this creativity present in the students.
Head of Hindi Department ,Prof.Sandeepna Sharma while welcoming the Chief Guest Dr.Ajay Sharma,Key Speaker Shahid Hasan Shahid and Engineer Saleem Ansari said that they have a firm belief that after listening to people present in the seminar today, our students will learn a lot . On this occasion, key speaker Shahid Hasan Shahid and Saleem Ansari were welcomed by presenting a flower bouquet.
Chief Guest Dr.Ajay Sharma said that if Cultural Journalist had a vision, then he can earn popularity in this field. Indian culture is way more related with moral values rather than western culture. Presently Hindi Journalists have to face a lot of challenges. Nowadays Corporate houses interference has also increased. As a result, journalists have only become salary-men . Even then some independent journalist make their presence felt with their creativity. The things that they can't say through media ,they make sure they say it with their creativity through Print Media or other Electronic Mediums.
Before this ,while telling the topic ,Hindi Department Professor Dr.Balvendra Singh said that in the field of Cultural Journalism ,our devotion ,trust ,Language literature ,Art-Culture are involved.
"Creativity" in present influenced by various living sources has contributed to Cultural Journalism by giving new opportunities. While speaking in Seminar, Media specialist Shahid Hasan Shahid who has served in Press Information Bureau (Indian Govt.) said that nowadays Indian languages are dying.After corporate ,now Government is monitoring Media and also giving an agenda to Newspaper and Media and intelligents are getting caught up in it. In this scenario only creative Journalists are successful in conveying their thoughts to public.
On this occasion Dr.Ajay Sharma answered all the queries of students present in the seminar. After this , Saleem Ansari said that creativity is very important in Journalism as well as in general life. This act as a food for our curiosity. Through his poems , Saleem Ansari said:
"Tumhare Shehar Ka Kirdar bech Sakte hai,
Hmare Shehar ke Akhbaar bechne wale."
Aur
"Dost apna Yakeen Chahte hai ,
saanp hai,Asteen chahte hai."
Dr.Karan Sharma,Principal D.A.V College,Jagraon was present at the seminar and said that the topic of this seminar organized by Hindi Department is very attractive and uselful. Human values should be based on Cultural Journalism. Actual Cultural Journalism provides a dedicatiom towards life. This Seminar organized by "Premchand Hindi Literature Council", Prof.Raman Sharma ,Ramgarhia College of Eduction (Phagwara ) ,Dr.Meenu Talwar ,Hindi Department, Head of Sanskrit Department Dr.Jeevan Asha,Prof.Ritu Talwar,Prof.Teena Vaidh,Prof.Manish Khanna ,Dean of Public Relation and students of Hindi,Sanskrit and Journalism department were present.
