Lamborghini Urus Gets Treated As A Blank Canvas For Art’s Sake

For a long time, cars have been used in art projects, with BMW being the most prolific manufacturer to get this treatment. This time, though, the model selected was the Lamborghini Urus, and it was created just a few days before the 2019 Geneva Motor Show kicked off.

The Italian super SUV paid an unofficial visit to Miami for the Art Basel event and was part of the display, but not before receiving a matte white wrap from Metro Group, which turned it into a blank canvas for local artist and designer Surge, who then proceeded to use his acrylic paint pens and draw all over it.

Besides being turned into a 592 HP piece of modern art, the Urus was equipped with a pair of 23-inch wheels made by Vossen. Called the S17-01, the set gave it a more imposing look. And just in case not everyone spotted the rims, the ‘Vossen’ lettering applied to the windscreen was a good indicator of their identity.

We don’t know if the car’s owner decided to keep the wrap or strip it off and reveal the factory grey, or as Lamborghini calls it, Grigio Lynx Metallic paint it came with.

As odd as it may be seeing the Urus serving as a canvas for an art project, it’s still way more toned down (and reversible) compared to something like Mansory’s Venatus. The tuned example is perhaps one of the flashiest ones out there, giving those visiting the Swiss auto show a good jump scare these days; and if the Lambo doesn’t succeed, Mansory’s Bugatti Chiron might just do the trick.
