Navi Mumbai: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Navi Mumbai Chamber of Business & Industries (NMCBI) organized a full day conference on ‘Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurship’ for women entrepreneurs on the 7th of March at Four Points by Sheraton, Vashi.
The event was a massive hit with active participation of over 120 empowered women entrepreneurs from all over Mumbai & Navi Mumbai.
The event was inaugurated by the Chairman of NMCBI Dr. Dhirendra Gautam and our esteemed guests Shri Yogender Chaudhry, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Mrs. Kusum Bansal, Addi. Commissioner of Income Tax, Mr. Himanshu Kumar DCIT and Mrs. Rajita Kulkarni, President of Sri Sri University.
Dr. Dhirendra Gautam shared his views and future plan of Navi Mumbai Chamber for development of business, industries and Entrepreneurship in Navi Mumbai.
Shri Yogender Chaudhry addressed the women entrepreneurs and shared his thoughts on how women are going neck to neck with men and how supportive this generation’s men are. Mr. Chaudhry’s speech was followed by Mrs. Kusum Bansal & then Mrs. Rajita Kulkarni. The Guest of Honor address was delivered by Mrs. Shweta Shalini, Advisor to CM of Maharashtra & Spokesperson of BJP which was very inspiring to all the delegates.
The event featured 2 panel discussions based on the themes ‘Entrepreneurial Opportunities for women’ & ‘Challenges faced by women to get into business’ respectively, by the panelists who were the eminent speakers ranging from Advocate, CEOs, Managing Directors, Founders, Ambassador, Data Analyst, CHRO etc. of various renowned companies shared their though and ideas with the delegates.
The event also marked the launch of ‘WE Cell’ an initiative by NMCBI for empowering women which will help them to collaborate, grow, improve their capabilities and help them reach their pinnacle of success. The Delegates were amazed listening the success journey of Solonie Pathania of being a procrastinator to grabbing the title of Ironman- Triathlon. Ms. Komal Sinha, an actress, APA Miss India 2017, International Supermodel who also shared her journey towards success. The session was followed by the felicitation & award ceremony where Women Achievers from all over Mumbai & Navi Mumbai for their immense determination and hard work for achieving their goals. It was a day filled with emotion, inspiration, humor and passion and best respect to the women’s on the International Women Day.
