Vadodara: In a major goof up, an examination centre in Lunawada in Mahisagar district received only 30 question papers for the class XII exams against 120 that were needed there on Saturday.

The Gujarati medium students of Guajrat’s board’s general stream appearing at the Adarsh Vidyalaya in Mahisagar district were to take the philosophy exam. However, when the packets of question papers were opened, it came to light that there were papers sufficient only for one class.

The packets for students sitting for the exam in three other classrooms had not come. District education officials were informed regarding the shortfall and had to make arrangements for the remaining papers at the last moment.

Amidst speculation that the question papers were photocopied, an official present at the examination centre told media persons that alternative arrangements were made. He, however, did not disclose the details and said that the district education officer had made the arrangements.tnn
