The incident happened on the Gold Coast. Police said the 41-year-old woman was sitting in her parked car on Laver Street about 5.30pm on Friday when the driver's side door was opened on Laver Street at Robina.

The two boys allegedly stolen the woman's phone after attacking her.

Members of the public chased the duo and brought them back to the scene where they were arrested.

The woman was taken to Robina Hospital for treatment to minor facial injuries.

The boys, aged 15 and 16, were charged with robbery.
