‘Don’t tell my wife’, says Akshay Kumar as he plays with fire again, this time for Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi

Akshay Kumar will soon feature in a special stunt sequence in the final episode of Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.

Looks like doing dangerous stunts has become second nature of Akshay Kumar. Just on Tuesday, at the launch of his new web series on Amazon Prime, the Kesari actor set himself on fire, much to the horror of his wife Twinkle Khanna and his fans at large.

Now, the actor is set for another daredevil shoot for the action reality show, Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. On Saturday, the actor took to Twitter to share the information with his fans. He wrote: “It’s a flaming week for #Kesari Warming up with #RohitShetty for Khatron Ke Khiladi. Watch this space!! P.S. Don’t tell my Wife.”

In the picture, Akshay and Rohit can be seen walking towards the camera. Around them, vehicles are burning. Wearing bright yellow (Akshay) and red (Rohit) t-shirts, the duo looks good to go.

According to a report in Times Now, Akshay is to shoot for the show’s final episode that will see him doing a stunt where a truck will chase him. Reportedly the stunt sequence has also been designed by Rohit.

It may be recalled that Akshay’s wife Twinkle was fuming after seeing her husband on fire on Tuesday. Going by her tweet, it seems, he hadn’t told her of it. Twinkle wrote: “Crap! This is how I find out that you decided to set yourself on fire ! Come home and I am going to kill you-in case you do survive this! #GodHelpMe.”

Akshay was unafraid of fire, but his wife’s angry tweet seems to have done the job. He responded, saying: “Now that’s something I’d actually be afraid of.”

Akshay is certainly on a roll. Come Holi (March 21), his film Kesari with Dharma Productions will hit the screen. Retelling the unbelievable story of bravery and courage, the film is about a motley group of 21 Sikhs who took on a strong contingent of 10,000 Afghans in the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi. He will also be joining Rohit’s cop verse with Sooryavanshi later this year and is doing Mission Mangal on India’s Mars Mission.

Speaking about his decision to do a web series, Akshay had said that his son Aarav was the reason he decided to do so. Speaking at the Amazon Prime launch, he had said: “I have a heavy line-up of films this year, but I decided to do a web-series because of my son Aarav, who asked me to do it as nothing works for the younger generation better than a web-series.”
