“An alleged poster for Huawei’s upcoming budget smartphone, the Enjoy 9s, has been posted on Weibo, revealing 24MP triple rear cameras and more”

Huawei is reportedly set to launch a new budget smartphone in China, alleged to be the Huawei Enjoy 9s. A promotional poster has been posted on Weibo, giving a sneak peek at the waterdrop notch of the smartphone, along with a slew of specifications. It’s important to note that this is a relatively unverified leak, so the information shared could be pertaining to a different device altogether. The Huawei Enjoy 9 was a budget smartphone that was launched late 2018 in China, and the 9s is now believed to be its successor.

According to the poster, only the top half of the device is visible, bearing a waterdrop notch to house the front camera. This design has become seemingly commonplace, and in contrast to the premium devices that implement this design, the Huawei Enjoy 9s is expected to feature thicker bezels and a chin to cut costs. Furthermore, the Huawei Enjoy 9s may see the inclusion of triple rear cameras, coupled with AI scene recognition mode and spearheaded by a 24MP primary sensor. There’s no word so far on what the front camera’s resolution would be. The image further mentions 128GB storage, a 6.21-inch display and Huawei’s custom EMUI 9.0 skin on top of Android Pie.

The previously launched Huawei Enjoy 9 featured a 6.26-inch HD+ display, coupled with 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, 64GB storage, 4GB RAM, the Snapdragon 450 SoC inside and Android Oreo onboard. The Enjoy 9s seems set to improve on the same, and it will be interesting to see what processor it employs. 

If and when launched, Huawei might choose to bring it to the rest of the world as part of Y series of budget devices. To recall, the Huawei Y9 2019 (first impressions) was launched in India in January this year.
