City’s temperature is expected to be 2-3 degrees above normal for the next two days. “As per the forecast issued for South Interior Karnataka, there will not be any widespread or scattered rainfall for the next few days. Rain may be reported from isolated places. The temperature is expected to be 2-3 degrees above normal for the next couple of days,” said G S Srinivasa Reddy, director of KSNDMC.
On the maximum temperature phenomena in Mysuru, he said clear sky is one of the reasons. “But generally the temperature graphs can’t be compared as weather stations are set up at different places,” he said.
Meanwhile, the health department has taken up awareness drives to ensure people don’t face any health-related problems during summer. Speaking to TOI, Dr Chidambara, in-charge officer, FSSAI, Mysuru, said general instructions related to clean drinking water and maintaining cleanliness at various events and car festivals have already been issued.
