New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who turns 87 in September, may be proposed by the Congress as Prime Ministerial candidate of the grand alliance, to put an end to the BJP’s propaganda that there are too many candidates in the fray for the top post.
That will also end speculation that the entire exercise of uniting the opposition against PM Modi and his party is to foist Rahul Gandhi in the saddle as prime minister.
