A blogger and mom-to-be's fashion faux pas has led to support and amusement from mothers far and wide after it came to light she was wearing a car seat cover as a skirt.
'If you feel like a failure today, just know that I wore a car seat cover a friend gave me because I thought it was a skirt,' Lori Farrell posted on Facebook along with a split photo showing her wearing the black and white striped car seat cover alongside a photo showing the cover stretched over a car seat.
Farrell, 32, whose first baby, a girl, is due in June, was given the striped garment along with a bag of baby clothes and equipment from a friend who no longer needed the items and was passing them along.

Farrell, 32, wore the car seat cover to work as a skirt before discovering her mishap and posting her mistake on Facebook

Farrell, (pictured above) who is expecting her first baby, a girl, in June, said she was given the striped garment in a bag of used baby clothes and equipment and concluded it must be a skirt
'I came home with a car full that day of enough baby clothes to cover our little girl's first three months,' Farrell told HuffPost.
'...When I pulled out the striped thing, I wasn't really sure what it was. It was not in a package, just mixed in with the clothes and blankets/swaddles,' she added.
She decided the black and white striped material must be a skirt so proceeded to wear it to work the next day.
Farrell said she wondered why the tag was placed in the front but she turned the skirt around to hide it and headed to work.

She decided to research the brand of her 'skirt' 'Itzy Ritzy' online and found lots of baby items and t-shirts for mom, but no skirts
