Tobin then fled the scene as Bruce remained near death just one set of traffic lights from his local pub.
The family of Bruce, who was in a coma for four weeks before undergoing 56 surgeries and the amputation of his leg, cheered when the verdict was read.
Supporters of Tobin did not take kindly to the cheering and the two families clashed outside the court.
The violent brawl was caught on camera with men and women all getting involved.
'No you're the f*** wit,' someone is heard shouting as bodies clash.
One woman is seen throwing punches at another before a young man is able to pull her away, another man is restrained with an arm around his throat as profanity is shouted.

Police officers at the court eventually managed to bring the situation under control after arresting one man.
Despite the families clashing after the verdict, Tobin showed remorse during his sentencing and described his behaviour as 'foolish' and 'reckless'.
'The hate and resentment you feel towards me, I feel towards myself as well,' he said to the Bruce family as they sat in the public gallery.
The victim's family are now in the process of raising money to modify their home to suit Mr Bruce's needs.
